A dreamcatcher is a Native American Indian ornament. It is circular shaped, with a spider web design at the center. It is generally decorated with feathers, beads and twigs. Many Native American Indian nations have dreamcatchers, though the Ojibwe or Chippewa originated it. Still, Indian legend says that a dreamcatcher hung over a bed or cradle would catch the bad dreams of the sleeper and let good dreams pass through, bringing peaceful sleep to those resting below it. The small hole at the center lets these bad dreams come through. At the first break of sunlight, the bad dreams perish and die. PeacePond Dreamcatchers are modern variations of the original Native American Indian ornament. Ours is made of either thread, yarn or twine, colored or natural feathers and beads. But we still pay homage to the original ornament by retaining its design. May your bad dreams perish by break of day with our colorful Dreamcatchers!
