Bacolod City, the capital of our province Negros Occidental, is famous for its Masskara Festival held every October. The main attraction of the festival is a dance parade with lively dancers in colorful smiling masks. The PeacePond Eco Center pays tribute to this festival through the Kara (face) Masks made the traditional handmade papier mache way.
Also, our seashell screens represent the fishing village where we live. Leftover shells from the food table are strung into wall hangings that sway with the wind...
